Jason is an independent director of gas transmission, distribution and storage provider First Gas Group, electricity distribution company Orion, electrical services provider Connetics, and is a shareholder and director of privately owned utility solar developer Helios.  He also and is a self employed consultant to the energy sector.

He was previously an independent director of electricity distributor and geothermal generation owner Top Energy, regional public transport provider Redbus and was Governor at Scots College Wellington.  He also chaired the Board of mobility-as-a-service startup Mevo for six years.

​

In 2016 he was awarded the New Zealand Institute of Directors Emerging Director Award.

 

He has over 30 years’ experience in the electricity industry and spent 16 years in senior management roles within Meridian, New Zealand's largest electricity company.  He has significant strategy, M&A, utility scale project development, sales and marketing, commercial and governance experience across multiple local and international projects.
